Hello, my name is … Louisa Bacio

What a fun idea for a hop! Start off the New Year by getting to know some new writers/bloggers.
  1. I am a Kindle Unlimited junkie and like to troll for taboo stories.
  2. I collect POP! characters, and am waiting for the line to come out with Draco.
  3. I judge my own stories by if it turns me on while writing it.
  4. The tips of my nails are currently tinged turquoise because of the recent hair dye.
  5. Although I have no tattoos, I think about what I’d like to get.
  6. Currently, we have thunder so loud in Southern California that the house shakes when it rumbles.
  7. I’m currently on a historical reading kick – although I don’t write it.
  8. I better post before losing power …

Giveaway: Which factoid caught your interest the most, and why? Enter to win an electronic copy of Physical Education & $10 Starbucks card (mailed U.S. only), because really I have leftovers from the kids’ school teacher gifts! (Edited to add: Please leave an email address so I can find the winner! If someone already posted without it, I'll come looking for you if you're selected!)

Until next time,

Louisa Bacio

    1. They are addicting. Every time I think, "I don't need anymore," then I see another must-have!

  2. Number 6 makes me smile. In my part of the country, thunder frequently rattles the house and china in the hutch when the storm is close. It's common during summer thunderstorms, but is becoming more common in winter. Then, it's called "thundersnow."

    1. "Thundersnow!" Great term. I'm trying to think what they called a gust of wind here yesterday. Rather than a tornado, it was like a "gustnado." And that was an official weather person.

  3. The first one because of the word taboo, always a guarantee to get my attention.

  16. I am a tattoo fiend, so of course your fact about tattoos caught my eye. :-) I have 12, but I have a lot of friends who are still considering their first. I hope you post photos on your blog if you do decide to get one. :-)

  17. That you collect POP characters, I just started this Christmas with the Peanuts characters.

  18. #5 - I also think about tattoos. I have an agreement with the hubby that I will not get one unless I have wanted the same thing in the same place for 10 years. They are permanent after all.

#'s 6&8 - I too live in SoCal. We just had a huge storm that started Wednesday (Jan 6) and left more than half the town without power until today (Jan 10).

  27. #6 Thunder in Southern California is unusual, isn't it? I lived in the Bay Area for 10 years and don't remember any severe storms.

  28. 6 got my attention because one of my characters (in a story I'm writing) lives in Southern California and is scared of the wind.

  29. #3!! I have only ever died my hair a more vibrant red. (When my natural red just isn't cutting it for me) I always wanted to do more, but I have a complete redhead complexion and I don't think I could pull it off. Plus turquoise is my favorite color!! Thanks for the chance and the tidbits!
