What does being
a Rock Star mean to you? When a friend or I “rock out” a short story, submit
and get that magical acceptance (cue the bass & drums), we’re a rock star.
Let me tell you, it feels good.
Even as an established
writer, keeping up the pace and continuing to write – even when you don’t feel
like it, or “life” is happening – is hard. Having small incentives and a
support group can definitely help!
Best-selling
erotic romance Nikki Prince and I share a common goal (well more than one, but
…): We like to help others achieve their
dreams. So we’ve put together Short in Six Short Story Challenge.
For six months,
starting April 2, we’ve put together a workshop/support network, and we reached
our first goal of 10 participants, which means we can start talking “prize”
incentives.
$50 winner –
chosen from all those who complete their short story, and submit
(Since everyone
writes at a different pace, it seems the most fair)
In addition, I
picked up five of these lovely Rock Star candies – a mini incentive for the
first five to finish and submit your first draft.
Cost to enter for the Short in Six: $10
Obviously, we’re
not in it for the cash. The money goes toward incentives. (With more
participants, the prizes continue.) We have another 15 spots open. Do you want
to get in on the writing fun?
Check out http://shortinsix.com or send a message to
shortinsix @ Yahoo. com (spaces removed).
We look forward to working with you!
