Celebrating Ella Jade Turning ...

Welcome to the birthday celebration for Ella Jade!


In my family, birthdays are a grand celebration that last not just a day, but a weekend, sometimes a week and they’ve even been known to stretch to a month. So obviously I didn’t blink when Ella Jade put out a call for a Birthday Blog Hop. Why not?

Now certain birthdays are viewed as more milestones. Over the years, I’ve made lists and threw out certain goals. I wanted to be married by 30, and then have children. Near the top, was publish a book. Most of them have come true. (I won’t share the one I remember not, because there’s still time.)

    My daughter loves mermaids, and she was always upset because they were hard to find, the collectibles, not toys, and she wanted her pretties like mine. So, I found at the Hallmark store that they had the Coral Kingdom collection, A mermaid for every month, one holding the sign and a huge underwater castle night light. So I put the whole collection on layaway and took a whole year to pay it off. But the year she got them, the smile on her face was worth more than any birthday presents I could have gotten.
